Publix Charities donates $100,000 check to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee

Publix District Manager David Fulmer recently visited Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle
Tennessee in Nashville to deliver Publix Charities’ donation of $100,000. CEO and President Jaynee Day was on hand to receive the check.

This donation is part of Publix Charities’ $5 million donation to food banks, schools, and other organizations to help alleviate hunger. Second Harvest will use the funds to purchase kitchen equipment, and to help to fund their BackPack Program. This program provides food to at-risk children over the weekends and during school breaks, when resources are not available through schools.
